hey guys how is life? how are things, the trip was good? well i didn’t get transfered, so same old. but the elder from the other area in our house went home. so a new one came. his name is elder gadd I think he went to bingham and was an sbo there. he knows dad. the baptisms will be this sat. things are really the same. we played soccer today and that was fun. the cereal stuff is pretty funny and she wrote you back. crazy. hey brad´s address? I got the packages last weeek on wed. night. thanks the candy is good. skittles are good. and i got grandmas, tell grandma thanks for the candy. I also got her letters and she sounds good. tell her hi and I love getting her letters. well I have been here for 4 months now in bras cubas. not to much else. right now we are teaching a boy he is 13 years old, his baptism is sat. and a girl that is 15 with her baptism on sat. then we have some other investigaors we are teaching. that is about it. how is the Book of Mormon reading coming along? well hope everyone is great. were in a hurry today and I have a way big headache. so I’ll write next week. love you guys

you have yourself a good day at work. tonight we are doin a division I’m goin with this guy who is kinda crazy. how does that make you feel. i have teach two lessons to. I hope I can have the spirit with me or else it is useless. well how is Salt Lake is the weather the same. it is hot here. i got a way bad head ache from soccer today. i talked a lot of crap and i played alright so i got some props from the brazy´s. hey guys how is life? good experiences, but now we haven’t even taught them again. that is hard. your lesson sounded great mom. i bet that you did an awesome job. thanks for the words of advice and to trust in the Lord. i need to do that more. transfers next wed. the 23, maybe i could get transfered, don’t know. The sunscreen is expensive here. and i don’t know if it is that good. we dont have wal-marts either, mom. but hey a thing of 45 sunscreen would be awesome. i am a little sun burned. i need to use sunscreen every day. Today was a way hot day.

Mom, you didn’t call Brad’s mom for me did ya? I need his address to mail a letter to him. v-day, i went on a division. that was fun and we ate ice cream that was great. well this last week we have been talking to alot of people and looking for people to teach. we have 3 baptisms marked for the 26 of feb. that is a sat. 2 young boys and a girl so we will see about that. that is about it.

you asked if i have lost weight. the answer no. i think i am taller and bigger now than i was. i want to send some pictures. i will try to do that now. so i’m going to end here. love you guys and hope that you guys have a great week.

what is up linds? how is the breathing class. that would be funny. on pday today we played soccer and b-ball a little. then ate lunch me and the other elder made a chicken sandwich that was delicious. dont see many animals or jungles. i live in a city part. i saw a talking parrot yesterday. that was cool and a big rat to. those and dogs that is all the animals i see. well short on time. love you. dick tracy sounds cool. i’ll watch it one day too. i saw a rainbow last week, that was cool. the work is the same everyday, that is the part that wears on ya. i’m really tired to. i walk all day every day. but hey it is cool. you have a great week. have fun in vegas. keep safe. eat some good food for me.

hey how are you guys? nobody told me about alisas b-day, but i will write her an email today. i knew it was coming up here at the first of feb. you talked to brad, i was wondering what his address to el salvador was. not the pouch maybe you can call his mom and get it. i wrote him forever ago but he hasn’t written back so maybe he doesn’t know my address or something. call his mom, 571-xxxx is his number.

lots of questions. the language is coming. we taught some new people this last week. a lady prayed one night for heavenly father to send a prophet or something to her to show her the right church. then we showed up the next day looking for some other people. we taught her and we will teach her again tonight with her family. they have 5 kids and a little girl that has blond hair, which is really unusual. but she doesn’t think i speak portuguese when i am speaking to her. it is funny. they are cool. we will see what happens. most people here want to do the right thing but the other churches have just screwed them up. that is the hard part.
we always eat at members houses for lunch. i do my own laudry. we are lucky and have a washing machine. we cook food our selves at night sometimes, wash our own dishes too. it is normal for me now. today we went up a path to the top of a mountain. it was fun.

That is cool that you talked to brads mom and he is a zone leader. Brad is a stud. and Duke is 3rd, that is cool. well dad won a big award, that is impressive. a great thing for him. he is representing the Hicks name. Jake got a haircut. Happy Valentines Day to everyone, that is coming up. well you guys have a lot of snow there? here it has been hot, I have to use sunscreen on my nose. maybe in the next package you could send of bottle of sunscreen. that would be nice.

hey what up family-
how is life in utah for everyone? well last week many cool things happened. First we have been looking for new people to teach for awhile. this guy who called the office in sao paulo wanted the missionaries to come to his house. so we went there. he is a member of another church, him and his friend with their families, for 25 and 20 years. but now he knows that church is wrong and wants to find the truth. he has thought about the gift of tongues alot i guess. he had a dream of a man speaking to him in a different language and he couldnt understand him. i was the only person in the room who spoke two languages. i taught him about prayer- then he asked me to pray in english for the opening prayer, i said i could. i prayed in english, it was a very sincere pray where i asked many blessing for them and their families. because in the first time you cant really do that, but they didnt understand so i could. after that i prayed in portuguese for them. it was cool. i have been having a hard time lately here. but i know that i need to teach these people the gospel. i felt the importance of my calling.

We taught them and the guy went to church the next day. it was good. then on sunday we were teaching a family and they didnt accept the book of mormon. after we talked to them for awhile. my companion called the guy out on his fear. the guy thought how does he know know what i was thinking. like many stories in the book of mormon. it was pretty cool. he then said okay and we are going back. i hope he read, but if not we did our part. many people think they are in the right church or are doing the right things, they are confused by men who just want money. today we went to the center on mogi das cruzes, i bought a real soccer jersey- it was a good price. well i have been thinking about obedience alot lately. also thinking about christ like attributes and how i can gain them. sometimes i have hard times here in brasil but i need these attribtues, then i will be a better son of heavenly father 1st, and then i will be a better missionary. the language is coming, i can understand alot but sometimes it is hard to speak personally to people.

we marked a baptism of two boys that was cool. we are teaching people here. i hope we can help them. so the jazz suck losing to charlotte bobcats-a new team this year. wow. well superbowl tell me who wins and who is the mvp- but i think that patriots will win with tom brady mvp. but we will see. usc son the nat. championship in college football. so how is life there. february has started. well im out of here, i love you all and always pray for you and wish the best for you. well have a great week.

hey what up- i like the name syndey it is a good name. the schedule is like this i watch up at 630 supposed to do exercies but i cant, im not awake what, then get ready until 800 at 800 for an hour study the bom and other stuff, 900 study with comp for an hour 1000 to 1030 study the language-port. leave the house do missionary work until noon at noon eat lunch at a members house- rice and beans always with other stuff. after go do work until 900 then at 900 go to house plan for teh next day half an hour 930 to 1030 write in journal eat a little food for dinner, talk to an american elder for awhile- we are tight, he helps me alot. then pray and go to bed at 1030. same thing almost every day. that is how it is. well you have a great week. bye.
