I have posted our Lake Powell pictures. We had a great time. Jake loved the water and driving the boat. The weather was pretty good except for the light rain at night. But the skiing was great. The pictures are in the Hicks album.

how is everyone doing? we had an eventfull week here in cachoiera paulista. my comp got transfered, there is goin to be a transfer on the 2nd of august, but on sunday my comp got a letter from an investigator- she is in love with him, the letter was funny.he then got trasnfered yesterday and i got a new comp, elder hansen from good old salt lake city. he lives in rose park, by in salt lake, between the temple and the airport. right off 7th north exit on I215. so we live close. he has 15 months on the mission. so now we are comps. so mom and dad you got onto the less active list in the ward.

ya i think i got the money from grandma i dont know, how did she put it in. i got the package with photos and stuff too.
hey mom get going to the gym with alisa. tell rob to go to our house and to use the internet. so now that i got a new comp, we both dont know our area, it is small, and i know it alright. good to hear that everyone is having fun in that hot summer, it was hot here for a few days but today and all night last night it was raining, kinda cold today.

mom tell grandma thanks for the letters it takes about 8 days for them to get here. tell here that the part of my address that says parque primavera- it is an (a) at the end and not (g) let her know that. tell her hi and thanks for the letters. ya so my comp got transfered really fast because of some girl really likes him. we went there last night wiht my new comp and told her that he left. not why but that he got changed. she started to cry infront of us, so that was kinda funny. but maybe we will baptize her here in aug. we had to go to são paulo on a bus i felt so sick moving for 3 hours there and 3 back but it is alright. the interview i had last week went really well, the man had a strong testimony of the church, about the word of wisdom- he stoped smoking in june and other things, so it went well. i think im talking in church this sunday, so that will be good. i have being thinking about attitude alot, because being here in this area you need a good attitude. we also need to work smart. it is small and really catholic but there are people for us. lindsey thanks for the email and tell ryan´s brother i wish the best, all of us have hard trials in life, to beat. to beat them is the hard part. sometimes we dont know how. i feel that way sometimes. alisa did you get that cd? with the pics, you didnt say. dad dont get to much sun on the lake without me, powell wow that would be sweet. have a good trip and take care of my boat. mom have a great week too, thanks for the great email. you got the list of stuff to mail in a package- hey one more thing an english hymn book, in that blue color of my scrips, por favor-please. hey the other thing mail a small package with maple concentrate, maybe soime candy other things, then will see how it is. we are going to make pancakes because there good but need maple. please. that is it i think, i wish i could wakeboard, but being a missionary is great too. face these challenges and work through them, with the lord´s help. the spirit to guide. i wish the best this for you guys. rob drop me a line. thanks for the email. they were great. love you guys

ever. but alot of cool experiences in the big email. and the address tudobem, make me a tape with one of those little tape recorders lips mailed me one and it was cool the first tape i got, but it is the coolest. seeya

I finally got pictures up from our trip to Jordanelle. Jake just loved being able to drive the boat and Sydney loved riding in the boat. We look forward to our next trip on the water.

Hey Alisa, Good trip? I get the Ensign. I have it at my house, but haven’t read it yet. i´ve been so busy. Alot of stuff. The book arrived so the package got there. Good. Hey did you look at the photos on the cd´s. Were there cd´s? I had a ton of photos on those cd´s, now i got way more cool pictures. But the photos, you saw them. i was worried because i need to erase those old photos and i already started too. The trip was good. Well tell little Jake I said beleza. I’m so brazilian now. Alisa. Hey everyone here is my email to you all. How is life? It is hot here today and it feels so good. I hear it is hot there to. Well I had an eventful week. Here is the great details in a fast clip. We are teaching some people but we need to find new people. That is the hard part. But we will. Well I don’t remember about last week. Oh ya we taught 16 lessons last week, that is a blessing a great blessing. Work hard and blessings. Well we had zone conference on Monday so we went to the lz´s house because out here in the country a lot of traveling to things. But we went there and I got letters that was cool. At zone conference I learned a ton, we were doing practice- pres called on two sisters to do a practice and after he was looking at everyone and then says elder hicks- do the next one. Ya I was so nervous. It went well could have been better but it was cool. I learned a lot, one thing I’m trying to work on and learn is about attitude, a good attitude for everything helps bring the spirit. I need to change and be happy a lot more, the mission is awesome great hard work and I need a good attitude, I went on a division with an American from Ogden yesterday he has a great attitude, he taught me a lot. At church we were asked to speak during church, I didn’t know what I was going to say until I was up there, I just had two scriptures. It went well. It was cool. I’m getting better at speaking in front of people with these experiences. Thanks everyone for the cards, Alisa the pictures were cool. Thanks it is different to think that both of my sisters have kids. But it’s chill. I need to have a better attitude- more faith and trust in the lord. Our president gave training on goals. I never had a lot of goals in my life- I just chilled, I now realize the importance and how I need to make more goals- my goal for this week is to make more goals, what I want. Tomorrow I am going to do a baptism interview with a guy. That will be a new experience to. I meet the guy he is cool, and ready. Also we did some service which I have never done, I was the soup man- ya the soup man but we gave soup to the homeless in another city, I slapped it on the plate, it was a great experience to take part and I was humbled. I come from a different life. It was cool, I have been running all day today. My first comp is going home in Aug. How is the Book of Mormon reading coming along for everyone, we all need to study more. Well my area has a lot of work to be done it will be a challenge. I will need to learn a lot. And work hard. How is summer for everyone there? How was star wars? Good. I saw a thing for it. I’m so hungry right now. I make way good cheese sandwiches. Hey rob how is life? Drop a line. So dad did you tell grandpa I live in a cool train city, I got some way cool pictures. I sent home a cd with pictures for everyone to see, there are some way good ones there. What else is new there in USA? Don’t know what else to say and we have got to be going, well I love everyone and thanks for the b=-day cards and love. I’m 20 weird huh. Tell grandma ware hi for me, and that I got her book and already put it to use. I need to learn D&C better. Well I pray for you all and wish my best, I found out the tapes are the coolest thing ever- all about the tapes now I decided, lips mailed me one and it was cool, I’m making one for you guys too. Well I hope cars get fixed, Kurt has fun at work- who did the jazz get in the draft? , Ryan is all moved in, when do you start work? Alisa and Jake read the book.
