So how are things in Brazil? pretty good. do they have a fall where the leaves turn colors and fall off? no, its hot today and maybe tomorrow it could be a litle colder, but its goin into summer Do they have any Brazilian holidays? yes today is dia das crianhas day of the children, brazys are about parties and love-very carnal. do you have anyone that you are teaching right now? yes some cool people, one guy is way smart and we are trying to help him and others. How is your companion? good Where do you live? in a house above our bishop Do you do any splits? ya with other missionaries, i went on one with elder gadd last week he graduated form bingham and knows dad he was a sbo, i like him alot.o Hows your ward? good How is the primary? dont know thats about it, sydney is growing big, mom send some photos to me she has alot of hair. well have a great week. love ya elder hicks

hi everyone how is life? thanks for all the emails, they were great like usual. it was a great week, good and bad like normal. i learned alot. and i am being blessed greatly. conference was very good, talking about being prepared so that means, dad and mom for me and the other families you guys need some food storage. but i’m with mom and dad so that means mom and dad you guys need a plan about that. i was thinking about the importance of plans and planning of things. yes but my experience was funny, so i planned a little talk about faith using a few scriptures and i made a little outline in the head. then at our conference for missionary i got called to talk a little, so as i was walking up to the pulpit i was thinking why didn’t i plan better. i was nervous. so i started and i looked at everyone and then i said ‘yesterday at’, then i noticed i was speaking in engish and not portuguese. i was embarrassed, but then after it went well and i got more comfortable. it went well. i talked about faith and dillegence of using the scriptures. in 1 nephi and alma with the liahona. and applied it to us and progress and success. i learned alot at that conference, it went well. we have some baptisms marked here and are being blessed, not we just got to do better. and use preach my gospel to help us be good missionaries. i had a little talk with my president also and that went really well, he has alot of confidence in me and i need to do my best to make that true. work hard and have fun. i learned other things but i cant remember. i went on a divison with elder gadd yesterday it went well. we had a good time. he has helped me in the mission alot by example and to be a good leader you need to lead by example. something i’m trying to learn and do better. i realize the importance of my call just a little bit and how i need to help people understand the gospel. my area is cool and we have many good things happening. we need to plan better to be effective and do our best. i’m trying to serve with all my heart. if you teach with sincereity you can help people alot more. the love in missionary work is very important. well one great thing i learned at conference was how we need to put faith and confidence in the lord and obey the prophet. the way right now is reading the book of mormon before the end of the year, i’m in mosiah right now but i got to finish it, we have promises too with the invite. so i invite us all to do this. im trying to learn more about the atonement and how forgiveness comes through his sacrifice for me. well love you all i think that is it, have a great week,

hey how are ya alisa? good. that sucks that byu lost again. they got to win. little jake likes to play, i bet he´s way funny. i liked conference also. it was good to listen to all the talks. they did talk about being prepared alot and about the book of mormon and other great talks. i really liked president faust’s talk about the light in the eyes. and i liked elder bednar’s talk about magnify callings. many good quotes. we are going to have to study the ensign really well to really be uplifted. like one of the seventy said we need to study this liahona. well love ya. thanks for all the support. hey mail me a photo next week in the email of your family. i cant go onto your website. love ya
